CES: Consumer Electronic Show

The CES is an event that happens once a year where companies get to show off new technology they want the public to know about. This is where VCR, DVD, CD players, HDTV, DVRs, and gaming machines like the Xbox were first introduced, even the classic “first” video game ever created, Pong, was introduced.



Project Natal, and the hp/microsoft slate were both introduced this year at CES. Project Natal is a motion sensor detector used only for Microsoft's Xbox 360 gaming console. It uses motion sensors to detect body movement and also includes. This Xbox 360 add on is going to be released in late 2010.




The microsoft/hp slate is more powerful than a phone and almost as powerful as a pc which makes it the perfect device to read, surf the web and to store information on the go. It is run on a windows 7
operating systems and can run in various modes including movie mode, ebook mode and pc mode. Much is still unknown about this such as the name of this device, the price it will run at, the battery life and more.
